<br />(5 ) <br /> <br />( 6) <br /> <br />( 7 ) <br />( 8) <br /> <br />( 9) <br /> <br />( 10 ) <br /> <br />(11) <br />(12) <br /> <br />( 13) <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Cause a treatment plant upset; <br /> <br />( ii) <br /> <br />Cause the treatment plant to be in violation of <br />its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System ("NPDES") permit; <br /> <br />(iii) <br /> <br />Cause any harmful or destructive condition in <br />City collection system; <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />(iv) <br /> <br />Cause any of the organic pollutants referred to in <br />Section 307(A)(1) of the Clean Water Act of 1977, <br />and presently listed in Appendix B to Title 40 <br />Code of Federal Regulations Part 403 to exist in <br />the Publicly Owned Treatment Works effluent or <br />sludge in excess of the limitations established in <br />the relevant Federal Rules and Regulations. <br /> <br />Any liquid or vapor having a temperature of 140°F (60°C) or <br />higher, or at a temperature that will increase the influent <br />to the treatment plant to 104°F (40°C) or higher. <br /> <br />Any wax, grease, oil, plastic, or any other substance that <br />will solidify or become discernibly viscuous at any <br />temperature between 55°F (12.8°C) and 90°F (32.2°C). <br /> <br />Garbage other than comminuted garbage. <br /> <br />Noxious or malodorous substances, such as, but not limited <br />to, hydrogen sulfide, sulphur dioxide, or nitrogen oxides, <br />which, either singly or by interaction with other materials, <br />are capable of causing objectionable odors or hazards to <br />life. <br /> <br />Any substance or material which: <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />Form solids in concentrations exceeding <br />established in this Ordinance; or, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />limits <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Creates a condition deleterious to any sewer system or <br />treatment process owned or operated by the City; or, <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Requires unusual provisions, <br />handle in the sewer system. <br /> <br />attention, <br /> <br />or expense to <br /> <br />Any visible free animal, vegetable, or mineral oil and <br />grease or a total animal, vegetable, or mineral oil and <br />grease exceeding two hundred (200) milligrams per liter over <br />a 24-hour period or being discharged at a rate which would <br />contribute in excess of 1668 pounds of such oil or grease <br />per million gallons of wastewater per 24 hours; provided <br />however, that neither the two hundred (200) milligram per <br />liter maximum nor the 1668 pounds per million gallon <br />maximum, as set forth above, shall be applied to any <br />existing establishment which by continuously adhering to all <br />procedures recommended by the Director as means of reducing <br />the discharge of visible free animal, vegetable, or mineral <br />oil and grease is unable to meet the present standard <br />without significant material alteration of the real <br />property. <br /> <br />This exception shall be limited in duration until either the <br />wastewater permit is cancelled for some other reason or <br />remodeling of the premises. <br /> <br />Acids or alkalies which attack or corrode sewer system. <br /> <br />Any of the following parameters may not be discharged to the <br />extent they exceed their specified limits over a 24-hour <br />period. <br /> <br />Substances <br />11.0. <br /> <br />having a pH value lower than 6.0 or higher <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />-6- <br />
