<br />Fire <br /> <br />Department <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />dispatched <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />any <br /> <br />point <br /> <br />within <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />geographical <br /> <br />area <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />South <br /> <br />Hays <br /> <br />County <br /> <br />Rural <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Prevention <br /> <br />District. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />In the event of a serious fire or fires, as determined by the <br /> <br />Director <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Fire, <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Chief, <br /> <br />or, <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />their <br /> <br />absence, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Shift <br /> <br />Captain, <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />duty, <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Harcos <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Department, <br /> <br />located <br /> <br />within <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />geographical <br /> <br />fire fighting <br /> <br />jurisdiction of the San Marcos Fire Department (as designated by <br /> <br />said personnel of the San Marcos Fire Department) or, in the event <br /> <br />equipment of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />fire department is <br /> <br />insufficient, <br /> <br />incapable or <br /> <br />unavailable for any reason to fight a fire or fires, as determined <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Marcos <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Department, <br /> <br />located <br /> <br />within <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />geographical <br /> <br />jurisdiction <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Marcos <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Department; <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />in both <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />events, <br /> <br />then, <br /> <br />upon <br /> <br />request <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Volunteer Fire Chief, the Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief, <br /> <br />or, <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the absence of both of them, the Volunteer Assistant Fire Captain <br /> <br />on duty, of the South Hays County Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />above-designated <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Marcos <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Department, <br /> <br />firefighting <br /> <br />equipment, <br /> <br />if <br /> <br />available <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />good <br /> <br />working <br /> <br />order, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />if <br /> <br />available, <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />South <br /> <br />Hays <br /> <br />County Volunteer Fire Department, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />shall be dispatched <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />any point within the geographical fire fighting jurisdiction of the <br /> <br />San Marcos Fire Department as designated by said personnel of the <br /> <br />San Marcos Fire Department. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Any <br /> <br />dispatch <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />equipment <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Agreement is subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Any <br /> <br />request <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />aid <br /> <br />hereunder <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />include <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />statement of the amount and type of equipment and <br /> <br />number <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />requested, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />specify <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />location to which the equipment and personnel <br /> <br />are to be dispatched, <br /> <br />but the amount and type of <br /> <br />equipment and number of personnel to be furnished <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />determined <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />personnel <br /> <br />mentioned <br /> <br />hereinabove of the responding organization. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
