Herrera <br /> Director of Planning Frank Robbins <br /> Director of Finance Betty Oliver <br />Also Present: Larry Dupont, Cecil Johnson, Gwen Smith, Tom Watts, Emmie <br />Craddock, Jack Lindstrom, Melissa Millecam, Billy Moore, Jack Doughty, <br />George VonderLippe, henry Krause, Ben Ford, Nick Caruso, Dan Corbett, <br />Dan Smith, Dan Gibson, Patsy Greiner, Merry FitzPatrick and others. <br />Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 23, 1986, Special Meeting held June 27, 1986, <br />Special Meeting held June 30, 1986, Emergency Meeting held July 1, 1986 <br />and Special Meeting held July 7, 1986. Mr. Coddington moved for approval <br />of all the minutes and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. The Council <br />directed the ~inutes of the July 7, 1986 Meeting be corrected on Page <br />3 in the last sentence of the first full paragraph to state the Council <br />voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. The <br />Council voted unanimously for approval of all the ~inutes (Mr. Brown <br />was not present at the June 23, 1986 meeting, Messrs. Brown and Guerra <br />were not present at the June 27, 1986 meeting, all Council Members were <br />present at the June 30, 1986 meeting, Messrs. Coddington and Nicola were <br />not present at the July I, 1986 meeting, all Council Members were pre- <br />sent at the July 7, 1986 meeting). <br />!1ayor Younger introduced a discussion regarding where to place and how <br />to mount the bell from Old City Hall. Mr. Robert Habingreither from <br />the Department of Technology at Southwest Texas State University stated <br />he and others in his Department has become involved with the bell as a <br />Sesquicentennial project. He stated the Bell could be mounted in or out- <br />side a building. He provided the Council with a handout regarding the <br />history of the bell and displayed drawin~of how the bell could be <br />mounted. The Council thanked him for his presentation. <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of appointments to <br />the Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Farr moved to appoint Carol <br />Garrison as the citizen of San Marcos who has demonstrated an interest <br />in the history of San Marcos and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. The Council directed the other appointment to the <br />Historic Preservation Commission be scheduled on a future agenda. <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval <br />of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />* Mr. Farr was present at 7:31 p.m. <br />** Mr. Brown was present at 9:35 p.m. <br />
