<br />to provide further protection for Owner against defects and <br />deficiencies in the work, but the furnishing of such Resident <br />Project Representation will not make Engineer responsible for <br />construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or <br />procedures or for safety precautions or programs or for <br />Contractor failure to perform the construction work in <br />accordance with the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />g. <br /> <br />Operations and Maintenance Manual: The Engineer shall <br />prepare an Operations and Maintenance Manual. <br /> <br />h. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Final P}an of Operation: <br />Plan of Operation. <br /> <br />Proj ect Performance Services: The Engineer shall provi de <br />project performance services as required by the TDWR and <br />EPA to certify whether the sewer system rehabilitation work <br />has resulted in a reduction of wet-weather flows similar to <br />that estimated in the Sewer System Evaluation Study, as <br />described in Attachment C. <br /> <br />The Engineer shall prepare a Final <br /> <br />j. <br /> <br />Subsurface Investigations and Laboratory Tests: The Engineer <br />will provide the Owner with advice, when requested, with <br />respect to the making of all subsurface investigations, <br />including borings, test pits, soil resistivity surveys, and <br />other subsurface explorations; however, the making of such <br />investigations and the interpretations of data and reports by <br />speci a1 consul tants are not a part of the services to be <br />rendered by the Engi neer, and the cost therefor shall be <br />paid by the Owner. The Engineer shall monitor and review the <br />work of testing laboratories and inspection bureaus required <br />for the testing or inspection of materials, etc., for the <br />Project, but the cost ,of such laboroatory tests or inspection <br />shall be paid by the Owner. <br /> <br />Topographi c, Ri ght-of-Way, and Land Surveys: The Engi neer <br />shall make topographic surveys only when necessary in <br />connection with the location and design of all structures and <br />1ines~ The Engineer will indicate to the Owner the <br />approximate boundaries of land which may be required for the <br />Project. Surveys for the procurement of land and services in <br />connecti on with proceedi ngs for the condemnati on are not a <br />part of the contract. The Owner shall pay for costs of land <br />surveys and shall compensate the Engineer for services <br />rendered in connection with condemnation proceedings. <br /> <br />k. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Additional Services: The Engineer shall perform such <br />additional services as requested and authorized in writing by <br />the Owner. <br /> <br />3.
