<br />35 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting August 11, 1986 Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED NORTH OF HIGHWAY 80 <br />AND WEST OF RIVER ROAD, FROM COMr1ERCIAL TO HIGH DEN- <br />SITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the amendment. No one did, so <br />Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for <br />adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 10.893 ACRES OF <br />LAND OUT OF THE THOMAS G. MCGEHEE LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 11 <br />AND ALSO BEING OUT OF A TRACT CALLED 11.01 ACRES DESCRIBED <br />IN VOLUME 526, PAGE 494, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED <br />ON THE WEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 21 AND <br />COUNTY ROAD 159 (YARRINGTON ROAD), FROM HIGH DENSITY RESI- <br />DENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak <br />in favor or in opposition to the amendment. No one did, so Mayor Younger <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution <br />and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Mr. Robbins advised the Council the <br />Planning Commission requested the Staff initiate a subdivision plat <br />for commercial use of this property. Mr. Nicola moved to table this <br />matter for the Planning Co~ission to advise the Council of their <br />reasons for wanting the City to initiate this land use amendment and <br />Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 11.72 ACRES OUT <br />OF THE J. No one did, so Mayor <br />Younger closed the public hearing. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, HAYS COUNTY, <br />TEXAS, LOCATED NORTHEAST OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE AND WEST <br />OF HIGHWAY 123, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMER- <br />CIAL, OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br />AND HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />
