(i) Evaluate PVC, concrete steel cylinder pipe and ductile iron pipe options <br />(ii) Recommend preliminary technical specifications for the three pipe material options, <br />including interior linings, exterior coatings, joint lengths, joint types, embedment /backfill <br />requirements, and pipeline appurtenances, such as air and vacuum valves, drain valves, <br />isolation valves, etc. <br />(i) Perform internal QA/QC prior to Status Report / 30% layout submittal. <br />3. DELIVERABLE <br />(a) Submit Status Report including recommendations and results of studies (see Special Services). <br />(b) Submit 30% layouts (no profiles) of the new waterline to the City for review and comments. <br />(c) Prepare Cost Projections and submit to the City for review and comments. <br />B. DESIGN PHASE SERVICES <br />1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND MEETINGS <br />(a) The Engineer will manage professional services to complete the project including, progress reports, <br />milestones and invoicing. <br />(b) Attend, conduct and document four project meetings (by submittal). Prepare meeting minutes <br />including action items to help maintain project schedule. <br />(c) Attend up to two (2) Utility Coordination meetings as identified by COSM. <br />2. TASKS <br />(a) 60% PLANS & CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />(i) Incorporate City's comments and prepare plans and profile of the new water line. Six plan <br />and profile sheets identifying right -of -way, property easement, existing utilities and <br />topographic features will be prepared at scale F=50' horizontal and I"=5' vertical. <br />(ii) Prepare cover sheet, project layout sheet, construction notes, and erosion/sedimentation <br />control. <br />(iii) Prepare construction sequencing/phasing plan as needed. <br />(iv) City standard details and special details, if required. <br />(v) Prepare City of San Marcos project documents and City of Austin technical specifications. <br />(vi) Prepare Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. <br />(vii) Perform internal QA/QC of plans and contract documents. <br />(viii) Incorporate QA/QC comments into plans and construction documents and prepare 60% <br />submittal. <br />(b) 90% PLANS & CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />(i) Incorporate City's comments and prepare plans and profile of the new water line.
