<br /> 94 <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br />THE COUNTY OF HAYS <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br />That the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, a quasi- <br />municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "School", acting by <br />and through its President of the Board of Trustees and the City of San Marcos, <br />a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", acting by and <br />through its Mayor, enters into this Joint Election Agreement pursuant:to the <br />terms and provisions herein stated and pursuant to the terms of the Texas <br />Election Code; to-wit: <br /> I. <br />School and City hereby agree jointly to hold the regular election of <br />officers for each political subdivision on Saturday, April 6, 1985. Said joint <br />elections will be held at the same polling places in each precinct, said <br />locations being: <br />In Election Precinct No. 11 at Dunbar Center; <br />In Election Precinct No. 12 at Guadalupe Hall; <br />In Election Precinct No. 13 at San Marcos High School Auditorium; <br />In Election Precinct No. 14 at San Marcos City Hall; <br />In Election Precinct No. 16 at Westover Baptist Church; <br />In Election Precinct No. 20 at C. M. Allen Homes; <br />In Election Precinct No. 30 at Crockett School; <br />In Election Precinct No. 34 & 45 at City Library; <br />In Election Precinct No. 36 at First American Lutheran Church;. <br />In Election PFecinct No. 44 at Allen Wood Homes Auditorium; <br />In Election Precincg No. 46 at Travis Elementary School. <br />It is agreed that all expenses incurred in the administration of the <br />elections within the corporate limits of San Marcos, Texas, will be shared <br />equally by the School and City, provided however, that should construction of <br />voting signs or booths to be used within the corporate limits of said City be <br />necessary, the agency providing the labor for such construction will be <br />responsible for only one-third (1/31 of the cost of materials. <br /> II. <br />It is.agreed by the parties hereto that a common ballot will be us€d for <br />the joint election. <br />It is agreed by the parties hereto that common ballot boxes will be used <br />for the joint election, to be provided equally by the two agencies. The ballot <br />boxes holding the voted ballots for the election will be delivered by the <br />Precinct Judges to the City Secretary at the City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street, <br />
