79 Regular Meeting August 25, 1986 Page 11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OP BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 2 OF THE AMEND- ED PLAT OF THE ANDERSON ADDITION NO. 1, A SUBDIVISION OF 2.33 ACRES IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE 144 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 2411 HUNTER ROAD, FROM IILI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EPFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance. Ken Kraus was present representing the owner of the property and advised the property is under contract for a day-care center. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) œ THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR LOT 2 OF THE AMENDED PLAT OF ANDERSON ADDITION NO. 1, A SUBDI- VISION OF 2.33 ACRES IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE 144, PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 2411 HUNTER ROAD, PROM PLOATING COMMERCIAL TO COM- MERCIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE PUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OP SAID CITY FOR LOTS 3 AND 4 OF THE UNIVERSITY PLAZA, SECTION 2, A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OP SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 4, PAGE 189 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 429 N. GUADALUPE STREET FROM COMMERCIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment. Craig Johnson, owner of the property, stated the zoning is presently Multi- Family and the land use needs to be corrected. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the land use, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
