<br /> 79 <br /> Regular Meeting August 25, 1986 Page 11 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OP <br /> BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 <br /> (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 2 OF THE AMEND- <br /> ED PLAT OF THE ANDERSON ADDITION NO. 1, A SUBDIVISION <br /> OF 2.33 ACRES IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 SURVEY, <br /> HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE <br /> 144 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED <br /> AT 2411 HUNTER ROAD, FROM IILI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) <br /> TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EPFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance. Ken Kraus <br /> was present representing the owner of the property and advised the <br /> property is under contract for a day-care center. No one else wished <br /> to speak in favor or in opposition to the Zoning Ordinance, so Mayor <br /> Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of <br /> the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br /> of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN <br /> (MAP) œ THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR LOT 2 OF <br /> THE AMENDED PLAT OF ANDERSON ADDITION NO. 1, A SUBDI- <br /> VISION OF 2.33 ACRES IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. <br /> 1 SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, <br /> PAGE 144, PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED <br /> AT 2411 HUNTER ROAD, PROM PLOATING COMMERCIAL TO COM- <br /> MERCIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment. Mr. Farr moved for adoption <br /> of the Resolution and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br /> of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE PUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br /> OF THE MASTER PLAN OP SAID CITY FOR LOTS 3 AND 4 OF <br /> THE UNIVERSITY PLAZA, SECTION 2, A SUBDIVISION IN THE <br /> CITY OP SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN <br /> VOLUME 4, PAGE 189 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, <br /> TEXAS, LOCATED AT 429 N. GUADALUPE STREET FROM COMMERCIAL <br /> TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the land use amendment. Craig <br /> Johnson, owner of the property, stated the zoning is presently Multi- <br /> Family and the land use needs to be corrected. No one else wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the land use, so Mayor Younger <br /> closed the public hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the <br /> Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
