<br />26 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />October 13, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Special Meeting held October 6,1986. Mr. Brown moved for <br />approval of the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appoint- <br />ments to the Planning Commission. Mr. Farr moved to nominate Gene <br />Majors, Brian Runey, Ron Hart, Eugene Rios and Aart Millecam and <br />Mayor Younger seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: <br /> <br />BROWN: <br />FARR: <br />YOUNGER: <br />GUERRA: <br />KISSLER: <br />NICOLA: <br /> <br />Millecam, Rios. <br />Millecam, Rios. <br />Majors, Runey. <br />hart, Rios. <br />hart, Rios. <br />Millecam, Rios. <br /> <br />Mr. Rios received 5 votes. No other nominations received enough votes <br />on roll call, so a second roll call was taken and the following vote <br />recorded: <br /> <br />BROWN: <br />FARR: <br />YOUNGER: <br />GUERRA: <br />KISSLER: <br />NICOLA: <br /> <br />Millecam. <br />Millecam. <br />Runey. <br />Hart. <br />Millecam. <br />Millecam. <br /> <br />Mr. Millecam received 4 votes. Mr. Eugene Rios was appointed and Mr. <br />Aart Millecam reappointed to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration two appointments to the Zoning <br />Commission. Mr. Brown moved to nominate John Wade, George VonDe~Lippe <br />and Merry FitzPatrick and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. On roll <br />call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />BROWN: <br />FARR: <br />YOUNGER: <br />GUERRA: <br />KISSLER: <br />NICOLA: <br /> <br />VonDerLippe, FitzPatrick. <br />VonDerLippe, FitzPatrick. <br />Wade, FitzPatrick. <br />Wade, FitzPatrick. <br />VonDerLippe, FitzPatrick. <br />VonDerLippe, FitzPatrick. <br /> <br />Mr. VonDerLippe and Ms. FitzPatrick were both reappointed to the Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of three appointments <br />to the Library Board. Mr. Brown moved to reappoint Susie Erlanson (who <br />lives out of the city limits), appoint Alice Hopkins, and appoint Judy <br />Brown (who lives out of the city limits), and Ms. Kissler seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of one appointment <br />to the Central Texas Library System. Mr. Farr moved to appoint Nina <br />pryatel and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of one appointment <br />to complete a vacancy on the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Mr. Guerra <br />moved to appoint Len Pielder to complete the vacancy of Glenn Norris. <br />Mr. Pielder previously served two terms on the Senior Citizens Advisory <br />Board and went off the Board in January of 1986. Mr. Guerra stated he <br />wanted this to be an exception to the Resolution (1981-lR) adopted by <br />the City Council January 12, 1981 and did not want the Resolution amend- <br />ed to make this a permanent change of the Council's policy. Mayor Younger <br />seconded Mr. Guerra's motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
