<br /> 7 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985-82 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br /> ARTICLE V OF APPENDIX C, SUBDIVISIONS, OF <br /> THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO <br /> ADD A SECTION G THERETO, SETTING FORTH <br /> REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER <br /> 36, SAN MARCOS RIVER CORRIDOR, OF SAID <br /> CODE, AT THE TIME OF PLAT SUBMISSION AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR DESIGNATION OF PROPOSED <br /> LAND USE UPON PLATS WITHIN THE SAN MARCOS <br /> RIVER CORRIDOR; AMENDING SECTION H OF <br /> ARTICLE VI OF SAID APPENDIX OF SAID CODE <br /> TO ADD THERETO SUBSECTION (7), PROVIDING <br /> THAT LOT DESIGN SHALL TAKE INTO <br /> CONSIDERATION THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE <br /> LANDSCAPE AND BUFFERING ORDINANCE; <br /> AMENDING SECTION K OF SAID ARTICLE VI OF <br /> SAID APPENDIX OF SAID CODE TO NUMBER THE <br /> EXISTING PARAGRAPH THEREIN SUBSECTION (1) <br /> AND TO ADD THERETO SUBSECTIONS (2), ( 3) , <br /> (4) AND ( 5 ), SETTING FORTH REQUIREMENTS <br /> FOR THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF <br /> TREES AND GROUND COVER; AMENDING SAID <br /> ARTICLE VI OF SAID APPENDIX OF SAID CODE <br /> TO ADD THERETO A SECTION L, PROHIBITING <br /> APPROVAL OF PLATS HAVING MIXED LAND USES <br /> UNLESS BUFFERING YARD REQUIREMENTS SET <br /> FORTH IN ARTICLE I, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT <br /> DISTRICT, OF CHAPTER 35 OF SAID CODE, ARE <br /> MET; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, hereby finds and determines that it is in the interest <br /> of the public health, safety and welfare to adopt the <br /> following ordinance; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Article V of Appendix C of the Code <br /> of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby <br /> amended to add a Section G thereto which shall read as <br /> follows: <br /> APPENDIX C <br /> SUBDIVISIONS <br /> . .. <br /> ARTICLE V. PROCEDURES <br /> . .. <br /> Section G. San Marcos River Corridor (SMRC). <br /> 1. In addition to the subdivision plat <br /> prerequisites detailed herein, proposed land use <br /> shall be designated with the preliminary, short <br /> form, and final plat of a subdivision within the <br /> SMRC. Such designation may be by a separate map at <br /> one (1) inch to two hundred (200) foot scale. The <br /> land use categories shown shall be the same as <br /> those used on the Future Land Use Plan (Map) in the <br /> Land Use Element of the City Master Plan except for <br /> residential densities.
