Additionally, it arranges the annual <br />Arbor Day Ceremony and continues its stewardship of the River <br />Walkway, the Memorial Grove, and beautification around Verimendi <br />Plaza. In 1985, it pledged $25,000 to the San Marcos River <br />Foundation, which is the major project of the San Marcos Sesqui- <br />centennial Committee. <br />
