37

Special Meeting

November 17, 1986

Page 2

with Messrs. Coddington and Guerra. Ms. Kissler stated we need
to plan for roadways for the future. Mr. Brown stated he is in
support of our getting more information but is not committed to
this project. Mr. Farr stated he is in support of the concept of
a thoroughfare. Mr. Guerra stated it is his understanding that
the City of New Braunfels is not supporting the Parkway. Mr.
Edwards stated Staples is partially in favor and partially
negative towards the Parkway. Mayor Younger advised the Council
this matter will go before the Highway Department on November 24
if the City wishes to go before the Highway Department to object
to the Parkway. Mr. Guerra stated he would like to hear from the
business community what they think about the Parkway.

During the question and answer session with the press and public,
Vicky Fruitt stated half the Parkway is proposed to be in
Caldwell County and the other half in Guadalupe County. She
stated the Guadalupe County Commissioners have failed to support
the Parkway for a lack of information. Ms. Fruitt advised the
proposed location of the Parkway is not to vary more than two
miles from its present proposed location.

I

nlkJ" /'
l4t.l f ' !
Karl¡ W",'" i ~r~¡ n
<in!' ~'I ' I
Cðnc~ i~rpe,?; er
!/~,t, ¡ /4//Jl',,', ,4(tLA./
, 'Gefð.1d G.
