<br /> 21 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985-95 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING CERTAIN <br /> RAILROAD CROSSINGS WITHIN SAID CITY TO BE <br /> IMPROVED BY THE PROPER INSTALLATION OF RUBBER <br /> PAD CROSSINGS BY RAILROAD COMPANIES; DIRECTING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER TO FORWARD COPIES OF SAID <br /> ORDINANCE TO ALL RAILROAD COMPANIES, WHOSE <br /> TRACKS ARE LOCATED WITHIN SAID CITY; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article lOIS, V.A.T.S., the City Council <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is empowered to require railroad <br />companies to keep in repair the streets, avenues and alleys <br />through which their tracks run and, if ordered by the City <br />Council, to construct and keep in repair suitable crossings at the <br />intersection of streets, avenues and alleys when the City Council <br />deems it necessary; and <br /> WHEREAS, certain streets within said City over which railroad <br />tracks run are badly in need of repairs; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the following streets at the locations <br />where Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company and Union Pacific <br />Railroad Company tracks cross said streets within said City shall <br />be improved by the proper installation by said railroad companies <br />of rubber pad crossings: <br /> Missouri-Kansas-Texas <br /> Railroad Company <br /> Crossings <br /> 1. River Road, Department of Transportation No. SOlS <br /> or 5075 (marking on crossing is unclear) <br /> 2. L.B.J. Drive, Department of Transportation No. <br /> 41SS10-C <br /> 3. Truman Street, Department of Transportation No. <br /> 41SS12-R <br /> Union Pacific (Formerly Missouri-Pacific) <br /> Railroad Company <br /> Crossings <br /> 1. Guadalupe Street, Department of Transportation No. <br /> 447-683-F <br /> 2. L.B.J. Drive, Department of Transportation No. <br /> 447-682-Y <br /> 3. West Bugg Lane at State Highway Loop 82, Department <br /> of Transportation number unavailable, first crossing <br /> north of the San Marcos River and south of U.S. Highway <br /> 81 or State Highway Loop 82 <br /> 4. West Uhland Road, Department of Transportation No. <br /> 2078FL <br /> S . Ranch Road 12 at San Marcos River, Department of <br /> Transportation No. 447679-R <br /> 6. Truman Street, Department of Transportation number <br /> unavailable <br /> SECTION 2. That the City Manager, A.C. Gonzalez, be, and <br />he is hereby, directed to forward a copy of this ordinance to the <br />Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company and the Union Pacific <br />Railroad Company (Formerly Missouri-Pacific Railroad Company). <br />
