1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 15, 1986 PRESENT: Mayor J. E. Younger Mayor Pro-Tern Council Nembers Betty Jane Kissler Karl W. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held December 8, 1986. Mr. Farr moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. Guerra present to vote on this item - 7:35 p.m.). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Arts Advisory Committee. Mr. Brown moved to reappoint Sue Blan- sett, Soila Rodriguez and Diana Badgett and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Tourist Development Committee. Mr. Farr moved to reappoint Jack Lindstrom and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor Pro-Tem serves as the other Council appointment to the Commit- tee. ~1ayor Younger introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WhICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND uSE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING LOT 77 OF THE A. M. RAMSEY SUBDI- VISION OF 32 1/2 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORD- ED IN VOLUME 89, PAGE 479 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS; A/KIA 105 SEGUIN STREET FROM "Mil (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "MR" (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning request. Mrs. Lopez was present repre- senting Cipriano Lopez to answer any questions of the Council and to ascertain the status of the zoning request. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition, so Mayor Younger closed the public * Mr. Guerra was present at 7:35 p.m. ** Mr. Nicola was not present at this meeting.
