2

Regular Meeting

December 15, 1986

Page 2

hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance
and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

Mayor Younger introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning
Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE
WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF
BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984
(VOL. 66) BY ZONING LOT 3, BLOCK 1 OF THE PECAN CREEK
ADDITION, SECTION TWO, SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE 52 OF THE HAYS COUNTY
PLAT RECORDS; A/KIA 415 WEST SAN ANTONIO STREET FROM
IICII (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO IIMF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DIS-
TRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Mayor Younger opened the public hearin g and asked if anyone wished to
speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning request. No one did,
so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Coddington moved
for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the
motion, which passed unanimously.

Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption
of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, M1ENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP)
OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 7.7 ACRES OF LAND
OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY,
TEXAS, LOCATED on THE EAST SIDE OF POST ROAD, FEOM HIGH
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL; AND DECLARING AN EF-
FECTIVE DATE.

Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to
speak in favor or in opposition to the amendment. Patty Barrett asked
what the plans for this property are. Frank Robbins advised the plans
would ultimately do away with the mobile home park and to develop the
entire tract as multi-family and commercial development. Ms. Barrett
advised there was a concern of persons in the mobile home park regarding
the proposed through-street on the property and the traffic impact to
Post Road and how long they would be allowed to remain as a mobile home
park before this development gets underway. No one else wished to speak,
so Mayor Younger closed the publi¿ hearing. Mr. Coddington moved for
adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On
roll call the following vote was recorded:

AYE:

Coddington, Farr, Younger, Guerra, Kissler.

NAY:

None.

ABSTAIN:

Brown.

Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and
adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, MIENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP)
OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR LOT 3, BLOCK 1 OF
THE PECAN CREEK ADDITION, SECTION 2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 3, PAGE 52 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT
RECORDS; SAN MARCOS, hAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AIKIA 415 WEST
SAN ANTONIO STREET, FROM COMMERCIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESI-
DENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
