The motion carried. <br />30.Consider an appointment of a Council Member to fill a vacancy on the Community <br />Action Board, and provide direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott, and a second by Council Member <br />Becak, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the appointment of <br />Council Member Prewitt to the Community Action Board. The motion carried. <br />31.Discussion re2ardini! SmartCode and SmartCode warrants, includinp. standards and the <br />process for approving deviations from those standards, and provide direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott, and a second by Council Member <br />Thomason, the City Council voted six (6) for and (1) opposed, Council Member Prewitt, to <br />postpone this item until the March 4, 2014 meeting. The motion carried. <br />32.Question and Answer Session with Press and Public <br />Sherwood Bishop, congratulated the City Clerk's Office on a job well done regarding the Boards <br />and Commissions appointments and corrected the Council pronunciation of Sheran Seif and <br />Charlotte Wattigny. <br />33.Adiournment <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott, and a second by Council Member <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for, none and (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the San Marcos City Council at 10:00 p.m. The motion carried. <br />
