That precincts numbers 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, <br /> 20, 30, 34, 36, 44, 45 and 46 shall be polling places for <br /> the joint election of the City of San Marcos, Texas and the <br /> San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. <br /> SECTION 6. That precincts numbers 10, 15, 21, 31, 47, <br /> Martindale and Staples shall be polling places for the San <br /> Marcos Consolidated Independent School District election. <br /> SECTION 7. That said general election shall be <br /> conducted jointly with the San Marcos Consolidated <br /> Independent School District Board of Trustees Election <br /> pursuant to the terms and conditions of a Joint Election <br /> Agreement between said School District and said City <br /> approved by the San Marcos City Council on January 30, <br /> 1984. <br /> SECTION 8. That Janis K. Womack be, and she is hereby <br /> appointed clerk for absentee voting for said City and that <br /> Julie Villanueva and Susan Newey be, and they are hereby, <br /> appointed deputy clerks for absentee voting for said city. <br /> SECTION 9. That Roger Fernandez shall be the clerk <br /> for absentee voting for said School District. <br /> SECTION 10. That absentee voting for said election <br /> shall be held at City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street within <br /> said City and at the Administration Building, San Marcos <br /> Consolidated Independent School District, 501 South L.B.J. <br /> Drive in said City. Said absentee voting shall be <br /> conducted during normal working days in the City Hall and <br /> in the Administration Building from March 19, 1984 to April <br /> 3, 1984, and the hours for absentee voting shall be from <br /> 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The address of 630 East Hopkins <br /> shall be the absentee clerk's mailing address to which <br /> ballot applications and ballots voted by mail may be sent. <br /> Absentee votes shall be delivered to the San Marcos Public <br /> Library at 12:00 noon on April 7, 1984. The Absentee <br /> Voting Canvassing Board shall consist of Presiding Judge <br /> Mary Louise Thornton and Alternate Judge Mary Cude. <br /> Absentee votes shall be counted at the central counting <br /> station. The special canvassing board shall perform in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Articles 7.15 and 5.05, <br /> Texas Election Code. <br /> SECTION 11. That an electronic voting system, as the <br /> term is defined in Article 7.15, Texas Election Code, shall <br /> be utilized in connection with said election. Said system <br /> shall be utilized for all absentee voting as well as for <br /> all precinct voting conducted on election day. Ample <br /> voting equipment shall be provided for absentee voting and <br /> in each of the various precincts on election day. The <br /> central counting station is established as the Conference <br /> Room, San Marcos, City Hall, 630 East Hopkins. The <br /> Presiding Judge of the Central Counting Station shall be <br /> Dr. Wilbon Davis. The Alternate Judge and Counting Station <br /> Supervisor shall be Danny Dever. <br />
