<br /> BONDS TO BE SECURED BY AND PAYABLE FROM A LIEN ON <br /> AND PLEDGE OF THE NET REVENUES FROM THE OPERATION <br /> OF SAID CITY'S WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM? <br /> Section 2. The election precincts and polling places for said <br /> election, together with the persons hereby appointed to serve as <br /> Presiding Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge for each of said polling <br /> places shall be and are hereby established and designated in Exhibit <br /> "A" attached hereto, which is incorporated herein by reference and <br /> made a part of this Ordinance for all purposes. Each Presiding Judge <br /> shall appoint not less than two (2) clerks to serve and assist in <br /> holding said election; provided that if the Presiding Judge of a <br /> polling place serves, the Alternate Presiding Judge of such polling <br /> place shall be one of the clerks. <br /> Section 3. On election day the polls shall be open from 7:00 <br /> A.M. to 7:00 P.M.. <br /> Section 4. Absentee voting shall be conducted at the office of <br /> the City Secretary in the City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, <br /> Texas 78666, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5, V.A.T.S. <br /> Election Code, and a Special Canvassing Board shall canvass the <br /> absentee ballots cast in said election. The persons hereby appointed <br /> to the Special Canvassing Board are shown in Exhibit "A" attached <br /> hereto. The Presiding Judge shall appoint two (2) or more clerks who <br /> shall serve with the Presiding Judge as such Special Canvassing Board <br /> as provided by law; provided that if the Presiding Judge actually <br /> serves, the Alternate Presiding Judge shall be one of the clerks. <br /> Section 5. An electronic voting system, as defined in Article <br /> 7.15, V.A.T.S. Election Code, shall be used in said election. Said <br /> system shall be used for all absentee voting as well as for all <br /> precinct voting conducted on election day. Sufficient voting <br /> equipment to accomodate the voters shall be provided for absentee <br /> voting and at each of the polling places on election day. The Central <br /> Counting Station is established as the Front Conference Room, located <br /> in the City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. The persons <br /> hereby appointed to serve as Supervisor (Manager) and Presiding Judge <br /> of the Central Counting Station are hereby designated in Exhibit "A" <br /> attached hereto, and shall appoint clerks to serve at the Central <br /> Counting Station as provided in Chapter 7, V.A.T.S. Election Code. <br /> Section 6. Ballot cards and ballot labels shall be prepared in <br /> accordance with the applicable provisions of V.A.T.S. Election Code so <br /> as to permit the electors to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the aforesaid <br /> propositions, which shall be set forth in substantially the following <br /> form: <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 1 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $4,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br /> STREETS AND DRAINAGE BONDS <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 2 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $400,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION BONDS <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 3 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $100,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS <br /> FOR CITY TOPOGRAPHIC MAP <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 4 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $100,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br /> CEMETERY BONDS <br /> -4- <br />
