<br /> PROPOSITION NO. 5 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $250,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS <br /> FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 6 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $300,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS <br /> FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT (FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> TELESQUIRT) <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 7 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $450,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br /> LIBRARY BONDS <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 8 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $700,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION PUBLIC <br /> WORKS COMPLEX BONDS <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 9 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $6,200,000 REVENUE BONDS FOR <br /> WATERWORKS SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Section 7. The election materials enumerated in Ch.2l3, Acts of <br /> the 64th Legislature of Texas, Reguar Session 1975, shall be printed <br /> in both English and Spanish for use at each polling place and for <br /> absentee voting. <br /> Section 8. All resident qualified electors of said City shall be <br /> permitted to vote at said election. <br /> Section 9. Notice of said election shall be given by posting <br /> substantial copies of this Ordinance in both English and Spanish at <br /> the City Hall and at three (3) other places in said City, not less than <br /> four teen (14) days pr ior to the date set for said election; and <br /> substantial copies of this Ordinance in both English and Spanish shall <br /> be published on the same day in each of two (2) successive weeks in a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in said City, the date of the first <br /> publication to be not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date <br /> set for said election. <br /> Section 10. The public importance of this measure and the fact <br /> that it is to the interest of the City and its inhabitants to provide <br /> funds for the improvements herein contemplated at the earliest <br /> possible date for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br /> health and safety constitute an emergency and an imperative public <br /> necessity, requiring that this Ordinance take effect and be in full <br /> force immediately upon its passage; all ordinance and/or Charter rules <br /> requiring ordinances to be read on three (3) several days are hereby <br /> dispensed with for the purpose of adopting this Ordinance as an <br /> emergency ordinance; and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br /> force and effect from and after its final passage as provided by the <br /> Charter of said City. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this the 30th day of January, 1984. <br /> " <br /> ATTEST: Mayor, City of San Marcos, Texas <br /> Marcos, Texas <br /> -5- <br />
