1 ORDINANCE 1984-34 'J.~ ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ~ OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29, ARTICLE V, SECTION 29-123 AND CHAPTER 29, ARTICLE VII, SECTION 29-152(c) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADD TEN LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY AT WHICH PARKING SHALL BE PROHIBITED; TO ADD TWELVE LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS TOW-AWAY ZONES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, after study of current parking problems within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Myron L. Galchutt, Chief of Police for said City, has recommended certain areas at which parking should be prohibited and certain areas which should be designated as tow-away zone~; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of said City, having examined said recommendations, hereby finds and determines that said locations should be added as no parking areas and tow-away zones; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Chapter 29, Article V, Section 29-123 of the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to add the following locations in proper alphabetical sequence at which or any part of which no person shall park a vehicle when signs are erected giving notice thereof: Elm Street, Southwest side, from Live Oak Street in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 40 feet. Elm Street, Southwest side, from a point 175 feet southeast of the intersection of Live Oak street ln a southeasterly direction for a distance of 46 feet. Harvey Street, North side, from San Antonio Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 62.5 feet. Harvey Street, South side, from San Antonio Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 95 feet. Rogers Street, both sides, from its intersection with Moore Street to a point 110 feet southwest. San Antonio Street, North side, from the northeastern corner of its intersection with Harvey Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 65 feet. San Antonio Street, North side, from the northwest side of its intersection with Harvey Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 25 feet. San Antonio Street, from the southwes't corner of its' intersection with Harvey Street in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 145 feet. San Antonio Street, South side, from Harvey Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 43.5 feet. San Antonio Street, Southeast side, from Harvey Street in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 155 feet.
