Mr. Brown moved <br />for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Kissler se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br /> 1984 (VOLUME 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 0.786 <br /> OF AN ACRE OF LAND OUT OF THE PLAT OF THE ORIGINAL <br /> TOWN OF SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 46, PAGE <br /> 448, DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AND AS SHOWN <br /> ON A COpy OF SAID PLAT AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 1, PAGE <br /> 20, PLAT RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, A/K/A 205 <br /> AND 216 EDWARD GARY, FROM "I" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) <br /> TO IIC" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT). <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor of the zoning request. Frank Robbins advised the <br />Council the Ordinance was initiated by the City to conform to the <br />Master Plan and requested the Council consider adoption of the Ordin- <br />ance on emergency rather than first reading. No one else wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning request, so Mayor <br />Craddock closed the public hearing.
