Jim Byrn was present representing Harwood Puett, and <br />requested the Council table consideration of the Ordinance. No one <br />else wished to speak in favor or in opposition of the zoning request, <br />so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved the <br />Ordinance be tabled and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordin- <br />ance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br /> 1984 (VOLUME 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PART <br /> OF LOTS 6 AND 7 IN BLOCK NUMBER 7 OF THE D. S. <br /> COMBS ADDITION, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 42, PAGE <br /> 332 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, A/K/A <br /> 608 VALLEY FROM "M" (SINGLE, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> BUSINESSES DISTRICT) TO "R-2" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br /> DISTRICT)¡ AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF <br /> THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor of the zoning change. Frank Contreras, owner of <br />the property, requested the Council consider adopting the Ordinance <br />on emergency, rather than approval on first reading, because he had <br />been delayed for some time in constructing on his property, as he <br />had to change the zoning of his property before he could begin. No <br />one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning re- <br />quest, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing.
