51 Regular Meeting January 14, 1985 Page 8 Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor of the zoning request. Shirley Wickersham said she was present to answer any questions the Council may have and to advise the Council that Mr. Crafton was giving an easement to the City. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning change, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Guer- ra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordin- ance to add the wording in the caption "AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY" and ,adding "SECTION 2. That the tract of property described in Section I above which is in an area shown on the Future Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as Industrial henceforth shall be shown on said Map as Commercial". Mr. Farr seconded Ms. Kissler's motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading. Mayor Craddock introduced a public hearing and adoption of an Ordin- ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 20.91 ACRES OF LAND AREA, MORE OR LESS, IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 22.25 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED BY H. A. TERRELL, ET UX, TO R. T. HILL BY DEED DATED MARCH 31, 1967 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 216, PAGES 443-448 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, A/K/A 2215 RIVER ROAD, FROM "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT) TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT); AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- IVE DATE. Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning change, and no one did, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. The Council asked if the Staff's con- cerns regarding buffering had been addressed for this parcel. Mr. Robbins advised Ken Kraus, agent for the property, was willing to provide buffering. As Mr. Kraus was not present to address the Council's concerns for buffering, Mr. Coddington moved to table the Ordinance and Mayor Craddock seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Coddington, Craddock, Moore. NAY: Farr, Guerra, Kissler. ABSTAIN: None.
