<br />51 <br />Regular Meeting January 14, 1985 Page 8 <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor of the zoning request. Shirley Wickersham said <br />she was present to answer any questions the Council may have and to <br />advise the Council that Mr. Crafton was giving an easement to the <br />City. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the <br />zoning change, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Guer- <br />ra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and <br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordin- <br />ance to add the wording in the caption "AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE <br />PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY" and ,adding "SECTION 2. <br />That the tract of property described in Section I above which is in <br />an area shown on the Future Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan of <br />the City of San Marcos as Industrial henceforth shall be shown on <br />said Map as Commercial". Mr. Farr seconded Ms. Kissler's motion, <br />which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for <br />adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a public hearing and adoption of an Ordin- <br />ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br /> 1984 (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 20.91 ACRES <br /> OF LAND AREA, MORE OR LESS, IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI <br /> LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A <br /> PORTION OF THAT 22.25 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED BY H. A. <br /> TERRELL, ET UX, TO R. T. HILL BY DEED DATED MARCH 31, <br /> 1967 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 216, PAGES 443-448 OF THE <br /> HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, A/K/A 2215 RIVER ROAD, FROM <br /> "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT) TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY <br /> DISTRICT); AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF <br /> THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning change, and no one <br />did, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved <br />for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion. The Council asked if the Staff's con- <br />cerns regarding buffering had been addressed for this parcel. Mr. <br />Robbins advised Ken Kraus, agent for the property, was willing to <br />provide buffering. As Mr. Kraus was not present to address the <br />Council's concerns for buffering, Mr. Coddington moved to table the <br />Ordinance and Mayor Craddock seconded the motion.
