The Crime Prevention Ccx>rdinators primary function will be to organize or coordinate ccmnuni.ty groups into operating in a canbined effort with the Police to detect and report suspicious and criminal activity. In addition to organizing Neightorhood Watch programs, the, coordinator will assist in the education of in~viduai residents in crime prevention procedures. Through contact with the neighborhood associations, business and civic groups, and by advertising in the localrn...odia, the increased awareness will provide a more personal atmosphere that will be uninterrrupted by the feelings of frustration and anger that nonttally accanpany vicitimization and make positive productive ccrmn.mication difficult. CUr biggest source of referrals will be through busilless, civic, and cŒcmuIrity groups who we are in close contact \'lith to spread the ",;ord on the fOsitive effects of crirne prevention and the necessity of educating the public.
