<br /> WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing, on September
<br /> 7, 1982, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br /> by Ordinance 1982-41 adopted the budget for said City for the
<br /> fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982 and ending on September
<br /> 30, 1983¡ and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget determined appropriations for fund s
<br /> received as Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that a
<br /> public necessity exists which requires reappropriation of the
<br /> funds from Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing, on September
<br /> 12, 1983, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br /> by Ordinance 1983-45 adopted the budget for said City for the
<br /> fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983, and ending on
<br /> September 30, 1984; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget determined appropriations for funds
<br /> received as Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15; and;
<br /> WHEREAS, Section 8.17 of the City Charter of the City of
<br /> San Marcos, Texas, provides that no expenditure can be made
<br /> for purchases and contracts executed by the City unless and
<br /> until the City Manager certifies that there is to the credit
<br /> of such administrative unit a sufficient unencumbered
<br /> appropriation to pay for any supplies, materials, equipment,
<br /> or contractual services which are requested by the head of
<br /> said administrative unit; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Counc il
<br /> declares that a publ ic necessity exists, which requires
<br /> amendment of said budget¡ now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SEC'rION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45, adopted September
<br /> 12, 1983, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br /> of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br /> government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br /> 1, 1983, and ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated
<br /> money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br /> which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br /> and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br /> which shall be the amend ed budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br /> Texas, for the fiscal year 1983-84 beginning October 1, 1983,
<br /> and ending on September 30, 1984, be, and the same are
<br /> hereby, approved and adopted.
<br /> SECTION 3. That Ordinance 1980-37, adopted September 8,
<br /> 1980, wh i c h set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of
<br /> conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br /> government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br /> 1, 1980, and ending on September 30, 1981, and appropriated
<br /> money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br /> and which appropriated funds from Revenue Sharing Entitlement
<br /> No. 12, be amended as set forth in Exhibit B which is
<br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and
<br /> purposes.
<br /> SECTION 4. That the reappropriations of Rev en ue Sharing
<br /> Entitlement No. 12, as shown on the said Exhibit B are hereby
<br /> approved and adopted.
