<br /> -51- <br /> 2. Appeal of a decision of the zoning commission <br /> shall be in accordance with Section 2 of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> F. Development, revocation and/or automatic <br /> cancellation of permit: <br /> 1. The Director of Planning shall ensure <br /> compliance with this ordinance and the <br /> permit. He shall: <br /> a. Make inspections to determine compliance <br /> with the provisions of this ordinance <br /> and the permit, and initiate appropriate <br /> action if necessary. <br /> b. Investigate thoroughly any complaints <br /> of noncompliance concerning a permitted <br /> specific use, and keep a record of all <br /> complaints, indicating any action taken. <br /> These records shall be made available <br /> at the time of renewal of the permit. <br /> 2. Upon determination of noncompliance with the <br /> provisions of the specific use permit, the <br /> Director of Planning shall take action as <br /> follows: <br /> a. Give written notice to the permit holder <br /> of the nature of the violation, the <br /> necessary action to remedy the violation, <br /> and the time period, not less than ten <br /> (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of notification, within <br /> which to comply. <br /> b. Notify the zoning commission of the non- <br /> compliance if the violations have not been <br /> corrected within the prescribed time period. <br /> 3. The zoning commission, after due hearing, may <br /> revoke any specific use permit that has been <br /> reported in violation by the Director of Planning. <br /> Continued use without a permit will be a violation <br /> of the zoning ordinance and subject to the same <br /> penalties provided therein. <br /> 4. If a use permit has not been used within six (6) <br /> months after the date granted, the permit is <br /> automatically cancelled. <br /> 5. Appeal of a decision of the zoning commission <br /> shall be in accordance with Section 2 of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> G. Period of specific use and renewal: A specific <br /> use permit shall have a time limit of not more than <br /> one year unless otherwise approved by the zoning <br /> conunission. If the specific use permit does have a <br /> time limitation attached, the expiration date shall <br /> be set forth. Any permittee wishing a renewal of <br /> such permit for successive time periods shall make <br /> application. <br /> H. Conditions of specific use: <br /> 1. Home occupations: <br /> a. The area used in conducting the home <br /> occupation will be clearly secondary <br /> to the residential use. <br /> b. There shall be no exterior display <br /> except for a one-foot-square or equivalent <br /> size sign or building alterations indicating that <br /> the building is being used for any purpose <br /> other than that of a dwelling. <br />
