Off-street parking for small vehicles: Any <br /> multifamily, conunercial or industrial use may <br /> provide up to twenty-five (25) per cent <br /> of the total off-street parking requirement <br /> 1n small or compact vehicle spaces. All <br /> small vehicle spaces shall be marked as <br /> designated as being for such use. Each such <br /> parking space shall not be less than seven <br /> and one-half (7 1/2) feet in width. Stall <br /> lengths and maneuvering room shall be 1n <br /> accordance with angle parking 1n subsection <br /> (B)l, (d)(l), ( 2) and (3) of this section. <br /> B. Design and construction standards: <br /> 1. All parking areas and spaces shall be designed <br /> and constructed in accordance with the attached <br /> tables and illustrative diagrams as approved by <br /> the city council as evidenced by Exhibit "A" <br /> and "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein. <br /> Said tables and diagrams shall be kept of record <br /> in the office of the city secretary and director <br /> of public works for inspection by the public <br /> during reasonable office hours. In addition: <br /> a. All parking areas and spaces shall be de- <br /> signed and constructed so as to have free <br /> ingress and egress at all times. <br /> b. No parking space or parking area shall be <br /> designed so as to require a vehicle to back <br /> into a public street or across a public <br /> sidewalk, except in the case of one-and <br /> two-family dwelling units. <br /> c. No parking space or parking area shall be <br /> constructed with a slope of more than six <br /> ( 6) per cent. In such cases where a <br /> variance may be granted to construct a <br /> parking area with a slope of more than six <br /> (6) per cent, which in no instance shall <br /> exceed twelve (12) per cent, each parking <br /> space shall be constructed at right angles <br /> to the slope. In the event the board of <br /> adjustment shall consider a variance, the <br /> board of adjustment shall have the authority <br /> to impose drainage standards calculated to <br /> minimize the effect of the increased slope. <br /> d. Minimum dimensions for off-street parking: <br /> (1) Ninety-degree angle parking. Each <br /> parking space shall not be less than <br /> nine (9) feet in width and eighteen <br /> (18) feet in length. Maneuvering <br /> space shall be not less than twenty- <br /> four (24) feet. <br /> ( 2) Sixty-degree angle parking. Each <br /> parking space shall be not less than <br /> nine (9) feet wide perpendicular to <br /> the parking angle nor less than twenty <br /> (20) feet in length when measured at <br /> right angles to the building or parking <br /> line. Maneuvering space shall be not <br /> less than sixteen (16) feet perpendicular <br /> to the building or parking line. <br />
