Budget developments are in the City budget, <br /> yearly plans and E.r1.A. payroll quarterly <br /> reports. <br /> 3. Training of coordinator and staff 1S done <br /> through schools and exercises. <br /> 4. The hazard analysis 1S completed and for- <br /> warded to the Texas Department of Public <br /> Safety and Regional Office along with our <br /> current capabilities. <br /> 5. Private sector people are trained through <br /> exercises and training. <br /> 6. Emergency plans are reviewed by David Bynum. <br /> FUNCTION "B" <br /> Emergency operation planning is the responsibility <br /> of the coordinator, reviewed by disaster services <br /> and Region 6, adopted by the City Council and put <br /> into operation by the coordinator and disaster staff. <br /> FUNCTION "c" <br /> The coordinator has evaluated needs and resources; <br /> for example, contacted school systems for school <br /> buses when transportation 1S needed. <br /> Mr. John Fossler 'is responsible for providing buses <br /> and drivers. This 1S coordinated with San Marcos <br /> Consolidated Independent School District. <br /> Delbert Chance 1S head of the Texas Highway <br /> Department in this area and will provide trucks and <br /> heavy equipment during a disaster. <br /> Southwest Texas State University will provide shelter <br /> and housing at the university in case of disaster-- <br /> Reed Carr 1n charge. <br /> Red Cross would ~lso be called in. We have a local <br /> chapter with the Assistant Coordinator as Chairman, <br /> Mr. 1""1.. D. Carroll. <br /> FU~lCTION "0" <br /> Elements: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 <br /> 1. State facilities will be utilized. <br /> 2. National Guard will be called if needed and has <br /> been called in the past. <br /> 3. Texas State Guard can be utilized. lJe have had <br /> an exercise with them. <br /> 4. Department of Public Safety, the disaster Center <br /> and Col. Adams will be made avlare of any <br /> disaster of consequence by the Mayor, r>1ayor <br /> Pro-Tem, City 11anager and Coordinator. <br />
