MAYOR/COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Direct respective City departments and volunteers in all <br /> types of planning and emergency actions. Inform citizens <br /> of the situation and actions required. Make emergency <br /> policy decisions governing the direction of disaster <br /> operations within their respective jurisdictions. Request <br /> aid from State and Federal governments, including military <br /> support if required. <br /> 2. CITY MANAGER, SAN .MARCOS <br /> Assist Chief Executive in all programs and phases of the <br /> Disaster Preparedness efforts and act as Group Chief 1n <br /> City E.O.C. <br /> 3. DISASTER PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR (STAFF ADVISOR) <br /> a. Assist respective chief executives in all programs and <br /> phases for the disas+ ~ preparedness effort. <br /> b. Prepare, review and revise, as necessary, the emergency <br /> operations plan, coordinate with, and assist other <br /> departments in the development of SOP's to the emergency <br /> plan. Prepare or ensure preparation of SOP's charts and <br /> rosters as follows: <br /> ( 1) Emergency Public Information <br /> ( 2) Emergency Operations Center Operations <br /> ( 3) Resources Management <br /> (4) Reports <br /> ( 5) Organizational Charts <br /> ( 6) E.O.C. Staffing Roster <br /> (7) Disaster Preparedness Coordinator SOP <br /> c. Coordinate with other community agencies emergency <br /> plans, 1.e., schools, Red Cross, industry, private <br /> utility companies and civic groups. <br /> d. Coordinate emergency planning actions for the Mayor <br /> including E.O.C. operations. <br /> e. Arrange for Emergency Disaster Training Classes to <br /> meet the needs of the City departments and the <br /> general public. <br /> f. Maintain liaison with the State and Federal Civil <br /> Defense Agencies. <br /> g. Maintain current E.O.C. staffing, organization and <br /> assignments as shown in the E.O.C. SOP for their <br /> particular E.O.C.'s. <br />
