M1ENDf1ENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES The Contract for Engineering Services entered into on the 7th day of ~1ay, 1979, between the City of San 11arcos, Texas and Freese and Nichols, Inc., shall be amended as set forth hereinunder. The said Contract is attached as Exhibit "A". 1. Paragraph 2, Character and Extent of Engineering Services, as shown in the original Agreement shall be modified as set forth herein. a. Step 1 Preliminary Engineering and Planning Services: Add: the following paragraph 2.a.(6) (6) Preparation of a Sewer System Evaluation Survey for 353,000 feet of wastewater collection system under the guidelines of Public Law, 92-500, Environmental Pro- tection A encies Handbook for Sewer System Evaluation and Rehabilitation December, 1975) and Section 35, 921-1 of the 1974 Amendment to PL 92-500. (a) Services provided by the Engineer: Freese and Nichols, Inc. and subcontractors will furnish all materials, equipment, supplies and personnel to perform the complete survey except those listed in (b) below. (b) Services to be provided by the Owner include: i. Water for rainfall simulation tests and sewer line cleaning available at the nearest and most convenient fire hydrant. ii. Access to site of work with sufficient area for the placement of personnel and equipment, including right-of-ways and ramps. (No field activity will be undertaken that will unreasonably damage sur- rounding terrain without prior approval by the Owner.) i i i. All local or city licenses and permits. i v. Blockages, if any, in the system will be reported to the Owner. Such obstructions will be cleared by the Owner's crews to permit further work, if deemed necessary by the Engineer. v. Patching and/or repair of street surfaces where manholes have been paved over and must be opened.
