<br />2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting May 6,1985 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordin- <br />ance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br />1984 (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 579, <br />BLOCK 44, WESTOVER ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MAR- <br />COS, AS SHOWN ON THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF RECORDED <br />IN VOLUME 59, PAGE 183, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS <br />COUNTY, A/K/A 924 ADVANCE STREET, FROM "DP-2" (DUPLEX <br />DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY m\1ELLING DISTRICT) <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor or in opposition of the zoning request. No one did <br />so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. LOVELADY AND RUBY LOVELADY BY DEED <br />DATED 15 MARCH 195'8, FILED 11 JANUARY 1961, AND RECORDED <br />ON 6 FEBRUARY 1961 IN VOLUME 184, PAGES 570-571 OF THE <br />DEED RECORDS OF SAID COUNTY, LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF <br />RANCH ROAD 12 AND COERS DRIVE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "OP" (OFFICE PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT); <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (f-1AP) OF THE MASTER PLAN <br />OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in favor of the zoning request. Jean Dorbandt advised the zoning <br />request would conform to the use of the area. Shirley Wickersham asked <br />for information regarding the Staff's Report on the zoning matter, which <br />Frank Robbins is to furnish her. No one else wished to speak in favor <br />or in opposition of the request, so Mayor Craddock closed the public <br />hearing. At the request of the applicant, Mr. Coddington moved to <br />table first reading on this matter until the first Regular Meeting <br />in June (June 10), 1985 and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll <br />call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: Guerra. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />
