32 RESOLUTION 1984-111R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SAN MAR- COS CHAMBER or COMMERCE FOR THE ADMINISTRA- TION OF FUNDS COLLECTED PURSUANT TO ART. II OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has levied a hotel occupancy tax, as enacted in Article II of Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San I1arcos; and, WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to contract with per- sons or organizations for the administration of the funds col- lected from the hotel room occupancy tax pursuant to the guidelines for use of proceeds listed in Section 26-21 of said Code; and, WHEREAS, the San Harcos Chamber of Commerce has proposed to provide such service for the City of San Marcos, and said City has previously contracted with the Chamber for said service; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN HARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the terms and conditions of the ?roposeó Contract For Services between the Ci tv of San ilarcos, Texas, and the San Marcos Chamber of Co~~erce for the administration of funds collected pursuant to Article II of Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of said City, a copy of which contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, are hereby approved in all respects. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San ~larcos, Emmie Craddock, is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of San Marcos. PART 3.
