<br /> -2- <br /> vicinity, and conducting a solicitation and operating program <br /> to attract conventions and visitors to the City. Chamber <br /> further agrees to make such expenditures in conformance with <br /> and in proportion to the proposed budget which is marked <br /> Appendix "A" and attached to this Contract for all intents <br /> and purposes as though fully set out herein. Chamber further <br /> agrees to submit a semi-annual report of activities and <br /> expenditures from previously allocated funds. <br /> III. <br /> It is hereby agreed that a Tourist Development Council <br /> shall be formed to serve as an advisory committee to Chamber <br /> and no funds allocated from said tax shall be expended <br /> without the advice and consent of said Council. The <br /> membership of the Council shall be seven ( 7) persons who <br /> shall serve three (3) year terms. It is specifically agreed <br /> between the parties hereto that three (3) members shall be <br /> appointed by the City Council of the City and three (3) <br /> members shall be appointed by the President of the Chamber. <br /> Three (3) year staggered terms shall be initiated by the City <br /> appointing two ( 2) members for two (2) years and one (1) <br /> member for three (3) years and the Chamber appointing two (2) <br /> members for three (3) years and one (1) member for two ( 2 ) <br /> years. The seventh (7 th) member shall be elected by the six <br /> ( 6) appointees. The City Manager of City and the Executive <br /> Vice President of chamber shall be ex-officio members of the <br /> Committee. <br /> IV. <br /> It is hereby further agreed that a subcommittee of the <br /> Tourist Development Council shall be formed to serve as an <br /> advisory committee to Chamber on the arts. Said subcommittee <br /> for the arts shall advise Chamber on the expenditure of funds <br /> under Section 26-21(d) of the ordinance. The membership of <br /> the subcommittee is agreed to be composed of five (5) persons <br /> who shall serve for a term of one year. Three (3) of said <br /> members shall be appointed by the City Council, and two (2 ) <br /> members shall be appointed by the President of the Chamber. <br />
