ATTACHMENT A <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />N. LBJ AND OAKRIDGE UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />7. Other <br />a. Determine Project Permitting /Design Requirements: KFA will determine <br />project permitting and design requirements for local, state and federal <br />entities. <br />b. Utility Providers: KFA will coordinate with the City to determine utility <br />service providers in the vicinity of the project. <br />c. Construction Cost Estimates: Develop Class C (t 25 %) estimates of <br />probable construction cost based on the information gathered above. <br />8. Deliverables: <br />a. Preliminary Engineering Report Draft: KFA will prepare a draft Preliminary <br />Engineering Report (PER) summarizing the investigation and <br />recommendations. Three (3) hard copies and one (1) electronic copy in <br />portable document format (pdf) of the draft report will be submitted to the <br />City for review and distribution. At a minimum the PER will include: <br />i. 30% Schematic roll plot of the preferred alignments for the <br />pipelines, showing existing right -of -way, existing and proposed <br />appurtenances (valves, fire hydrants, services), and proposed <br />permanent and temporary construction easements. <br />Recommended pothole and geotechnical bore locations will also <br />be shown. Sheets shall be aerial based and be at a scale of 1" _ <br />100,; <br />ii. Class C opinion of probable cost for the preferred route; <br />iii. Force Main sizing recommendation; <br />iv. Lift Station improvements /recommendation description and <br />calculations; <br />V. Permitting requirements and associated timeframes; and <br />vi. Exhibit for the public meeting. <br />b. Preliminary Engineering Report Final: Following a meeting with the City to <br />discuss review comments, KFA will incorporate the comments into the <br />Final PER and submit three (3) hard copies, one (1) electronic copy in <br />pdf, and electronic CAD files to the City. <br />Phase B — Design Phase (60/90/100 %) <br />1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task includes routine communication with <br />the City; managing subconsultants, manpower, budgets, and schedules; <br />invoicing; implementing and monitoring of QA/QC efforts; and other activities <br />associated with managing the project. <br />2. Meetings <br />a. Project Meetings: Three (3) project meetings have been budgeted for the <br />Design Phase. <br />b. Public Meetings: One (1) public meeting has been budgeted for the <br />Design Phase.
