The Council Member elected <br /> to the place of Mayor shall hold office for a period <br /> of two (2) years. <br /> B. Section 3.04. Compensation. <br /> It is recommended that the Council members receive up to <br /> $300 and the Mayor up to $500 a month for expenses incurred <br /> in the performance of their duties. The exact amount should <br /> be determined by the Council at the beginning of each fiscal <br /> year. <br /> Proposed wording: <br /> Members of the City Council shall serve without pay <br /> or compensation; provided, however, that they shall be <br /> entitled to all necessary expenses incurred in the <br /> performance of their official duties.
