<br /> 22. Compliance with Laws. Lessee agrees to comply with <br /> all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations which may pertain <br /> or apply to the demised premises, the construction of any struc- <br /> ture or improvement on said demised premises, or the use of said <br /> demised premises for the purposes of Lessee. <br /> 23. Notices. All notices required to be given to Lessor <br /> hereunder shall be given by certified mail, return receipt re- <br /> quested, addressed separately to the Mayor of the City of San <br /> Marcos and to the City Manager for the City of San Marcos at <br /> 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666. All notices re- <br /> quired to be given to Lessee hereunder shall be given by certi- <br /> fied mail, return receipt requested, addressed to the regis- <br /> tered agent for the Hays County Women's Center, Inc. at the <br /> address on file with the Secretary of State's office. <br /> 24. Severability. In the event any covenant, phrase, <br /> clause, paragraph, section, condition or provision herein con- <br /> tained is held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdic- <br /> tion, the invalidity of any such covenant, phrase, clause, para- <br /> graph, section, condition or provision shall in no way affect <br /> any other covenant, phrase, clause, paragraph, section, condi- <br /> tion or provision herein contained. <br /> 25. Descriptive Headings For Convenience Only. The des- <br /> criptive headings appearing upon this lease agreement are <br /> for convenience only, and are not to be construed either as <br /> a part of the terms and conditions hereof or as any interpre- <br /> tation thereof. <br /> 26. Amendment Or Modification. Both parties hereto acknow- <br /> ledge and agree that they have not relied upon any statements, <br /> representations, agreements or warranties, except such as are <br /> expressed herein, and that the foregoing instrument in writing <br /> constitutes the entire agreement herein, there being no other <br /> written or parole agreement with any officer or employee of <br /> Lessor. No amendment or modification of this lease shall be <br /> valid or binding unless expressed in writing and executed by <br /> the parties hereto in the same manner as the execution of this <br /> lease. <br /> - 9 - <br />
