<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE
<br /> AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF
<br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF 9,961.95 SQUARE FEET OF
<br /> LAND ,¡MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE T.J. CHAMBERS
<br /> LEAGUE IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY,
<br /> TEXAS, TO SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY;
<br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GENERAL
<br /> WARRANTY DEED TO SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE
<br /> UNIVERSITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br /> has determined it to be in the public interest to convey to
<br /> Southwest Texas State University a tract of land containing
<br /> 9,961.95 square feet of land, more or less, out of the T.J.
<br /> Chambers League, in the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas,
<br /> and a part of that certain land described in a deed frornA.A.
<br /> Wilburn et al to the City of San Marcos, Texas dated 23 May
<br /> 1967 and recorded in Volume 217, Page 386 of the ~eed Records
<br /> of Hays County, Texas; said tract of land being more particularly
<br /> described by metes and bounds as follows:
<br /> From a concrete monument on the northeast line
<br /> of the McNaughton Addition to the City of San
<br /> Marcos, said point being the northwest corner
<br /> of the property conveyed by A.A. Wilburn to the
<br /> City of San Marcos by deed dated May 23, 1967,
<br /> recorded in Volume 217, Page 386 of the Hays
<br /> County Deed Records;
<br /> THENCE, N 43°46'43" E, 242 feet;
<br /> THENCE, S 44°43'17" E, 521. 46 feet to a corner;
<br /> THENCE, S 45°16'43" W, 120.69 feet to a corner;
<br /> THENCE, S 44°43'17" E, 150 feet to the POINT OF
<br /> BEGINNING, the same being on the south right-of-
<br /> way line of Sessom Drive;
<br /> THENCE, with the south line of Sessom Drive and
<br /> the northerly boundary line of this parcel pro-
<br /> ceed S 62°16'01" W, a distance of 41.70 feet to
<br /> a corner;
<br /> THENCE, with the easterly right-of-way line of
<br /> Comanche Street proceed S 23°15'01" W, a distance
<br /> of 17.00 feet to a point not tangent to a curve;
<br /> THENCE, with the easterly right-of-way line of
<br /> Comanche Street a curve to the left whose radius
<br /> is 120.69 feet, a chord bearing of S 25°52'44" E,
<br /> a distance of 74.20 feet to a point of tangency;
<br /> THENCE, continuing with the easterly right-of-way
<br /> line of Comanche Street, the same being the
<br /> westerly line of this parcel on a bearing of S 43°
<br /> 46'52" E, a distance of 48.60 feet to a corner;
<br /> THENCE, with the southernmost line of this parcel
<br /> the same being the northernmost line of Lot 14,
<br /> Park Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br /> as described in field notes dated 1907, of Record
<br /> in Volume 54 at Page 37 of the Deed Records of
<br /> Hays County, Texas, proceed N 62°02'43" E dis-
<br /> tance of 83.97 feet to a corner;
