WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, ~exas, provided an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard at two public hearings, once on March 28,1983 , at San Marcos City Hall, and once on March 21, 1983 , at a site within the area proposed to be annexed, on the proposed annexation by the City of San Marcos, Texas, of 60.606 acres, more or less, out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. 2, Abstract No. 17, and the Joel Miner Survey, Abstract No. 32l, Hays County, Texas and being a strip which is 250.00 feet on each side of the centerline of I.H. 35, and 5280.00 feet long, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the northeast line of the Veramendi Survey and the southwest line of the Miner Survey; from which the west corner of the Miner Survey bears Nbrth 46°-091-46" West a dis- tance of 9l9.52 feet, and a concrete witness corner bears South 46°-091-46"East a distance of 2.00 feet; thence North 25°-08'-30"East along a line parallel to and 250.00 feet distant in a northwesterly direc- tion from the centerline of I.H. 35 a distance of l161.04 feet to the north corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears South 65°-5l'-30"East a distance of 62.00 feet; thence South 65°-51'-30"East a distance of 250.00 feet to a point on the centerline of I.H. 35, from which the point of intersection of the south end of the Blanco River bridge and the centerline of I.H. 35 bears South 24°-081-30"West a distance of 5280.00 feet; thence continuing South 65°-5l'-30"East a distance of 250.00 feet to the east corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears North 65°-5l'-30"West a distance of l2.00 feet; thence South 24°-081-30"West along a line parallel to and 250.00 feet distant in a southeasterly direc- tion from the centerline of I.H. 35 a distance of - 1340.02 feet to a point marked with a concrete monument on the southwest line of the Miner Survey and the northeast line of the Veramendi Survey; thence continuing South 24°-081-30"West a distance of l748.23 feet to a point marked with a steel rod monument on the southeast right of way line of I.H. 35; thence continuing South 24°-081-30"West a distance of 2191.75 feet to the south corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears North 65°-5l'-30'iWest a distance of 25.00 feet;
