<br /> thence North 65°-51'-30"West a distance of 250.00 <br /> feet to the point of intersection of the centerline <br /> of LH. 35 with the south end of the Blanco River <br /> Bridge; <br /> thence continuing North 65°-51'-30"West a distance <br /> of 250.00 to the west corner of this 60.606 acre-- <br /> parcel, which falls in the Blanco River; <br /> thence North 24°-08'-30"East along a line parallel <br /> to and 250.00 feet distant from the centerline of <br /> LH. 35 a distance of 2802.50 feet to a point marked <br /> with a concrete monument on the west right of way <br /> line of LH. 35; <br /> thence continuing North 24°-08'-30"East a distance <br /> of 1316.46 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> WHEREAS, notices of said public hearings were published <br /> in the San Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general <br /> circulation in said city and in the territory proposed for <br /> annexation, on , and , <br /> respectively, said dates being not more than twenty (20) <br /> days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing for <br /> which notice was given; and, <br /> WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notice of said <br /> hearings, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br /> directed preparation of a service plan that provides for the <br /> extension of municipal services to said area proposèd f,Jr annexa- <br /> tion; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available <br /> for inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to <br /> be annexed at said public hearings; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said approximately 60.606 acres, more or less, <br /> are located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, and not within the extraterritorial <br /> jurisdiction of any other city; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said approximately 60.606 acres, more or less, <br /> are contiguous and adjacent to the current boundaries of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texa s; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That. the following described property approx- <br /> imately 60.606 acres, more or less, adjoining the existing city <br /> limits of the City of San !.1arcos, Texas, out of the J ..f\1. Veramendi <br /> League No. 2, Abstract No. 17, and the Joel Miner Survey, Abstract <br /> No. 321, Hays County, Texas, and being a strip which is 250.00 feet <br /> on each side of the centerline of LH. 35, and is 5280.00 feet <br /> long, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds <br /> as follows, to-wit: <br /> Beginning at a point on the northeast line of the <br /> Veramendi Survey and the southwest line of the Miner <br /> Survey, from which the west corner of the Miner <br /> Survey bears North 46°-09'-46"West a distance of <br /> 919.52 feet, and a concrete witness corner bears <br /> South 46°-09'-46"East a distance of 2.00 feet; <br /> thence North 25°-08'-30"East along a line parallel <br /> to and 250.00 feet distant in a northwesterly <br /> direction from the centerline of LH. 35 a distance <br /> of 1161.04 feet to the north corner of this 60.606 <br /> acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears <br /> South 65°-51'-30"East a distance of 62.00 feet; <br />
