<br /> 126 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1983-48R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br /> HEALTH FOR SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE SPECIAL <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS <br /> AND CHILDREN (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, wishes to continue its participation in the Special <br /> Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children <br /> (WIC) of the United States Department of Agricultural (USDA) <br /> which provides food and nutritional information to qualified <br /> participants; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said Council is willing to assume administrative <br /> control of the local program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the Agreement between the City of San <br /> Marcos, Texas, and the Texas Department of Health for services <br /> pursuant to the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, <br /> Infants and Children (WIC) of the United States Department of <br /> Agriculture, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein for all intents and purposes be, and is <br /> hereby, approved in all respects. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager of said City, A.C. <br /> Gonzalez, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said <br /> agreement on behalf of City. <br /> PART 3.
