-2- BEGINNING at the West corner of said Lot l, Block 3 for the West corner of the herein described tract; THENCE, with the Northwest boundary line of Lots 1 through 8, Block 3, N. 59 degs. 00' East for a total distance of 439.17 feet to a point for the North corner of said Lot 8, as located in the Southwest right-of-way line of peques Street; THENCE, with the common line between Lot 8 and peques Street, S. 30 degs. 00' East for a distance of 10 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, S. 59 degs. 00' West, crossing Lots 1 through 8 for a total distance of 439.17 feet to a point for corner located in the Southwest line of said Lot 1 of Block 3; THENCE, with the Southwest line of said Lot 1, N. 30 degs. 00' West for a distance of lO feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; CONTAINING within these metes and bounds approximately 4,390 square feet of land area, and being the identical premises described as Second Tract in a deed dated January 2, 1971, from Exa Phillips Nelson, a widow, Marian Nelson Meeks, and Reuben H. Meeks, to the City of San Marcos, recorded in Volume 241, Pages 393-395, Hays County Deed Records, to which deed and its record reference is here made for all purposes, and also being the identical premises described in an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Marcos, granting an easement over said proeprty, which Ordinance is recorded in Volume 394, Pages 329-331, Hays County Deed Records. to the State of Texas, for the use and benefit of Southwest Texas State University, of Hays County, Texas, are hereby approved. SECTION 2. That the consideration for said tract is hereby approved. SECTION 3. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Emmie Craddock, be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a general warranty deed to the State of Texas, for the use and benefit of Southwest Texas State University, of Hays County, Texas, for said property. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area.
