Ties or clips will be 9 gauge and shall be provided in sufficient <br /> number for attaching the fabric to all line posts at intervals <br /> not exceeding 15 inches and not exceeding 24 inches when <br /> attaching fabric to top rail and/or tension wire. Ties for <br /> 12 foot fence shall be 9 gauge steel ties, and ties for 6 <br /> foot fence may be either aluminum or steel. <br /> 27. Fence fabric is to be put on security side. <br /> 28. Five 12 foot wide gates. <br /> 29. One standard walk-through gate. <br /> 30. Gates shall be swing complete with latches, stops, keepers and <br /> hinge s. <br /> a. gate frames shall be constructed on tubular members and <br /> assembled with fittings. <br /> b. gate fabric shall be the same type as used in the fence <br /> construction. The fabric shall be attached securely <br /> to the gate frame at intervals not exceeding 15 inches. <br /> c. gate shall be adequate strength for gate, and large <br /> bearing surfaces for clamping in position. The hinge <br /> shall not twist or turn under the action of the gate. <br /> The gates shall be capable of being opened and closed <br /> easily by one person. <br /> d. gate latches, stops and keepers shall be provided for <br /> all gates. Latches shall have a plunger-bar arranged <br /> to engage the center stop. Latches shall be arranged <br /> for locking. Center stops shall consist of a device <br /> arranged to be set in concrete and to engage a plunger- <br /> bar of the latch of double gates. <br /> 31. Information regarding the exact locations of the gates will <br /> be provided to the Contractor by the City at the time the <br /> installation of fencing is ready to proceed. <br />
