City Council Meeting Minutes April 15, 2014 authorizing parking by permit only for the area consisting of: the 600 block of Burt Street (from Maury Street to the end of Burt Street); the 600 and 700 blocks of Maury Street (from Rogers Street to Burt Street) and the 500 block of Hanson Street (from Blanco Street to Maury Street); amending the traffic register to reflect such designated permit area; and providing for an effective date. A motion was made to approve Ordinance 2014 -21. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, Council Member Thomason, Council Member Scott and Council Member Prather Against: 0 Abstain: 1 - Council Member Prewitt 8. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -22, on the second of two readings, amending the City's 2013 -2014 Fiscal Year Budget to budget expenditures in the total sum of $5,420.00 from State Seized Asset Funds to provide funding for forensic laboratory services under an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Austin, Texas; and providing an effective date. 9. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -48R, approving the submittal of the 2014 Revised Water Conservation Plan and revised 2014 Drought Response Plan to the Texas Water Development Board; and declaring an effective date. A motion was made by Council Member Thomason, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, to approve Resolution 2014 -48R, as previously captioned. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, Council Member Thomason, Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and Council Member Prewitt Against: 0 10. Consider approval of Resolution 2014 -49R awarding an annual contract to Central Waste and Recycling for Street Sweeping Services in the estimated annual amount of $49,104.00 contingent upon the bidder's timely submission of sufficient insurance in accordance with the City's bid documents; authorizing the Purchasing Manager to execute the appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date.
