<br /> 87 <br /> STATE OF TEXAS <br /> AGREEMENT FOR MUTUAL AID IN <br /> FIRE PROTECTION <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> This Agreement is made and entered into this 28 day <br /> of November , A.D. 1983 , by and between the City of San <br /> . <br /> Marcos, Texas, a municipal corporation existing by and under <br /> the laws of the State of Texas, acting through authority <br /> conferred on its Mayor, Ermnie Craddock, by Resolution duly <br /> adopted on November 28, 1983, and the South Hays County <br /> Rural Fire Prevention District, a rural fire prevention <br /> district of the geographical area of South Hays County, <br /> Texas, existing by and under the laws of the State of Texas <br /> acting through authority conferred on its President of the <br /> Board of Fire Commissioners, Andrew Gary, by <br /> duly adopted on , on the following terms and <br /> conditions. <br /> 1. <br /> The purpose of this Agreement is to secure to citizens <br /> of the City of San Marcos, Texas, and to citizens residing in <br /> the South Hays County Rural Fire Prevention District, Hays <br /> County, Texas, the benefits of mutual aid in fire prevention <br /> and firefighting and in the protection of life and property <br /> from fire. <br /> II. <br /> In the event of a serious fire or fires, as determined <br /> by the Fire Chief, the Assistant Fire Chief or, .in the <br /> absence of both of them, the Volunteer Fire Captain on duty, <br /> of the South Hays County Fire Department, located within the <br /> geographical area of South Hays County, Texas, for which the <br /> South Hays County Fire Department provides fire protection <br /> (as designated by said personnel of the South Hays County <br /> Fire Department); or, in the event equipment of said fire <br /> department is.. insufficient, incapable or unavailable for any <br /> reason to fight a fire or fires, as determined by said <br />
