Mr. Brown moved to amend the Ordinance to approve the 2% merit program with $92,430 (General Fund), $26,730 (Utility Fund) and $2,962 (Bond Project Fund) and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordinance to approve cost of living in- crease for Civil Service employees as follows: 6% COL for Police; 6% COL for fire to be distributed as follows: 3.5% basic salary and 2.5% overtime payments, totaling $101,266 General Fund, plus 3.5% COL for all other employees of the City, totaling $102,681 General Fund, $46,777 Utility Fund and $5,184 Bond Project Fund and Mr. Nicola se- conded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington. Mr. Guerra moved to amend the Ordinance to approve a 3.5% COL increase for A. C. Gonzalez, Lamar Hankins and Janis Womack, Council appointed positions with a merit evaluation to be done in three months and be retroactive to October 1 and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington. Mr. Brown moved to amend the Ordinance to freeze the Municipal Court Judges' salaries until their evaluation is concluded and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington. Mayor Craddock moved to amend the Ordinance to approve the change in vacation benefits for new employees hired after October 1, 1985 (as outlined on Page 26 of the Compensation/Benefits report) and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Farr. ABSTAIN: Coddington.
