<br /> -2- <br /> THENCE, with the Northwest line of the said 2.29 <br /> acre tract, N 45 degs. 00' E, 187.56 feet more or <br /> less, to a point for the North corner of the tract <br /> herein described, same being the North corner of <br /> the said 2.29 acre tract; <br /> THENCE, with the Northeast line of the said 2.29 <br /> acre tract, S 46 degs. 30' 01" E, 180.38 feet more <br /> or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 1.1 <br /> acres of 1 and, more or less. <br /> í-'JHEREAS, an on-site public hearing has not been requested <br />in writing by more than 20 adults residing in said area; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was published in <br />the San Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general <br />circulation in said City and in the territory proposed for <br />annexation, on 10-30-83 , said date being not more than twenty <br />(20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing for <br />which notice was given; and, <br /> WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notice of said <br />hearing, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />directed preparation of a service plan that provides for the <br />extention of municipal services to said area proposed for <br />annexation; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available for <br />inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to be <br />annexed at said public hearing; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said 1.1 acre, more or less, is located within <br />the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and not within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of any <br />other city; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said 1.1 acre, more or less, is contiguous and <br />adjacent to the current boundaries of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1.
