<br />4 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting November 25, 1985 Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, GRANTING THE CONSENT OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS TO THE CREATION OF A MUNICIPAL UTILITY <br />DISTRICT: HAYS COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT <br />NO.2, SUBJECT TO VARIOUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET <br />FORTH IN A SEPARATE AGREEMENT MADE A PART OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE; SUSPENDING THE RULE REQUIRING THE READING <br />OF ORDINANCES ON THREE (3) SEPARATE DAYS; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington moved to amend the Ordin- <br />ance on Page 20 in Section (4) to approve the wording changed prior to <br />the meeting to "municipal services" and the last portion of that para- <br />graph to read "all municipal services to residents of the District"; <br />and substitute a new "Exhibit E" and to remove Exhibit B from the <br />Agreement and renumber all Exhibi~following and Ms. Kissler seconded <br />the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Craddock, Guerra Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Coddington. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown asked how the location of the fire station was determined, <br />and Frank Robbins indicated by Staff. Mr. Brown asked how much farm- <br />land would be taken out of its present use by this development and <br />Mr. Strange indicated 480 acres. In answer to Mr. Brown's question, <br />Mr. Strange indicated they would charge the School District $21,000 <br />per acre, which would be their cost of the land.
