4 Regular Meeting November 25, 1985 Page 4 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, GRANTING THE CONSENT OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO THE CREATION OF A MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT: HAYS COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO.2, SUBJECT TO VARIOUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN A SEPARATE AGREEMENT MADE A PART OF THIS ORDINANCE; SUSPENDING THE RULE REQUIRING THE READING OF ORDINANCES ON THREE (3) SEPARATE DAYS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington moved to amend the Ordin- ance on Page 20 in Section (4) to approve the wording changed prior to the meeting to "municipal services" and the last portion of that para- graph to read "all municipal services to residents of the District"; and substitute a new "Exhibit E" and to remove Exhibit B from the Agreement and renumber all Exhibi~following and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Craddock, Guerra Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington. Mr. Brown asked how the location of the fire station was determined, and Frank Robbins indicated by Staff. Mr. Brown asked how much farm- land would be taken out of its present use by this development and Mr. Strange indicated 480 acres. In answer to Mr. Brown's question, Mr. Strange indicated they would charge the School District $21,000 per acre, which would be their cost of the land. The Council then voted for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency by roll call as fol- lows: AYE: Brown, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Coddington.
