CITY OF SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />(F) A customer must reimburse the City for all costs incurred by the City <br />resulting from the failure or refusal of the customer to comply with this section. <br />(G) The City may disconnect utility service if a customer fails to maintain the <br />customer's property as required by this section. The City is not liable for damage to the <br />customer's property caused by City authorized maintenance of a right -of -way or meter <br />installation. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />A. Payment <br />Bills for service will be based upon the metered consumption as billed under the <br />applicable rate schedule. They will be rendered at regular intervals, and are due <br />and payable within eighteen (18) days from the date of issuance of the bill. The <br />customer will pay the net amount of the bill if paid on or before the due date. All <br />other bills are due on presentation. Payments of charges for connection or <br />reconnection of service and payments of initial deposits or reinstated deposits as <br />required under the Rules and Regulations of the City shall be made before service <br />will be connected or disconnected. <br />For other information concerning assistance in paying a bill, customers should <br />contact the City's electric utility office. <br />INSTALLATION ON CUSTOMER ' S PREMISES <br />A. Meters, Transformers and Other Equipment <br />All meters, transformers, regulators, services, fixtures, etc., which are installed by <br />the City upon the customer's premises for the purpose of delivering electricity to <br />the customer remain the property of the city and may be repaired, replaced or <br />removed by the City at any time. <br />No rent or other charge whatsoever will be made by the customer against the city <br />for placing or maintaining said meters, transformers, regulators, fixtures, etc., <br />upon the customer's premises. <br />B. Installations <br />All service meters installed on the customer's premises shall be located either at a <br />point where the service enters the building, or at a point adjacent to the front or <br />rear property line so as to be accessible at all times for inspecting, reading and <br />testing. <br />When it is necessary to install a transformer vault on the customer's premises, the <br />City reserves the right to require the customer to furnish and maintain said vault <br />at customer's expense in accordance with the city's standards. <br />The city reserves the right to refuse -to render service to any applicant or to any <br />customer where such service will affect service rendered to City's other customers <br />P <br />
