6 Regular Meeting May 22, 1989 Page 5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 20-10 OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADOPT THE 1988 EDITION OF THE STANDARD GAS CODE, THE 1989 REVISIONS THERETO AND ANY AND ALL SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS THERETO, ADDING SECTION 20-13 TO SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CODE CONTAINING AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD GAS CODE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Moore moved to adopt the Ordinance and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the Ordinance in Section 3, Sub-Section 20-13(a) to delete the word Plumbing and substitute the word Gas, and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion which passed unani- mously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND HARPER'S HALL JOINT VENTURE, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hernandez moved to adopt the Resolution, and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREE- MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, AND THE GOODMAN CORPORATION, HOUSTON, TEXAS, RELATING TO CONSULTING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SAN MARCOS TRANSPORTATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Plummer moved to adopt the Resolution, and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE : Hernandez, Hart, Morris, Plummer NAY : None ABSTAIN : Moore Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT AMONGST THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY RELATING TO THE TRANSPORTATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AUTHOR- IZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hernandez moved to adopt the Resolution, and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE : Hernandez, Hart, Morris, Plummer NAY : None ABSTAIN : Moore
