<br /> 27 <br />June 2, 1989 <br />Lamar W. Hankins <br />City Attorney <br />City of San Marcos, Texas <br />To Lamar W. Hankins: <br />This letter and your acceptance hereof shall establish the terms and <br />conditions of your employment severance from the City of San Marcos for <br />which you have served as City Attorney from January, 1984, to the <br />present. <br />In consideration of the premises and mutual promises herein contained, <br />it is agreed as follows: <br /> L The City Council agrees to accept your resignation as City <br /> Attorney effective immediately upon your acceptance of the terms <br /> and conditions of this severance ag reemen t which shall be <br /> evidenced by your execution hereof. <br /> 2. You will receive a lump-sum severance payment from the City of <br /> San Marcos in the amount Qf Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars <br /> ($25,000.00), immediately upon your execution of this severance <br /> agreement. <br /> 3. The City shall maintain health/medical insurance for you after <br /> the effective date of your resignation through and including <br /> August 31, 1989. <br /> 4. The undersigned City Council Members agree to keep confidential <br /> all information that has not yet been made public which we or any <br /> of us have received or learned about your employment with the <br /> City and to refrain from making any critical comments regarding <br /> your employment with the City. <br /> 5. You acknowledge you would not be entitled to the severance <br /> benefits noted above under the City's personnel policies and <br /> practices and you hereby release the City of San Marcos, <br />
